High strength forged steel flanges are critical to any piping plan. Specify your end connections for the piping side of the flange, then the type of flange: raised face (RF) is most common; flat face (FF) is popular in AWWA applications or ring type joint (RTJ) for high pressure. Tell us the pressure rating/bolting pattern for the gasketed side, then choose your material and you are set to go. Don’t forget to order the gaskets and stud bolts required to finish the job.

He have stocks the highest quality brand flanges, from ½” through 24” in 150#, 300# and 600# pressure classes. Our inventory includes forged steel flanges up to 600# pressure ratings, in sizes up to 48”. Imported flanges from approved mills are also available in our stock.

AWWA Flanges

These flanges can allow you to mate a flat face ductile iron valve to your steel piping system, among other applications.


Blind flanges are a solid steel plate used to “dead end” a line. Ending a line with a blind flange is easily reversible, unlike welded plugs or caps, and allows for future expansion.

Flat face – Raised face

Typical high pressure steel flanges have a raised segment of the gasket sealing face. This aids in the sealing process, allowing more pressure to be exerted in the tightening process. Flat face flanges by definition lack this feature.

Lap Joint or Van Stone

These flanges are used with a stub end and are free to rotate along their axis to allow easy alignment of your valve or other attachment.

Long Weld Neck

Often used in boiler applications, long weld necks feature thick walls, and of course, long welding necks. These are also sometimes called nozzles.

We offers material test reports for all of our products at no additional charge when requested at time of order. Positive Material Identification is also available at an additional charge per piece or per lot.

Orifice Flanges

Orifice flanges are supplied in sets of two, and include small holes tapped through their radial axis, which are supplied plugged but can be used to add a gauge or other small threaded attachment.

Pressure Classes:

From 75# lightweight flanges to 2500# for the highest pressure applications.

Ring Type Joint

This high pressure flange has a groove cut into its gasket face for a solid steel ring type gasket. Two flanges joined in this way can withstand high pressure and heat extremes.


Note that flange specifications for sizes over 24” must also specify Series A, Series B or the Class as there are different combinations of thicknesses and bolting patterns for these larger sized flanges.

Slip on

These flanges simply slip over the end of your pipe. These are the least expensive style, especially in the larger sizes.

Socket Weld

Available in smaller sizes (6” and under) this flange seats onto the end of your pipe like any other socket weld fitting. It features a small lip that butts up against the end of your square cut pipe end, matching the pipe schedule. These require little alignment or work-holding effort, and are the easiest to install.

Special Finishes

Exceptionally smooth finishes are sometimes required and are available. Typical flange faces are finished to 125 – 250 AARH; they can be special ordered with finishes from 65 – 125 AARH and less.


Threaded flanges are popular in both plumbing and structural applications, as they can be installed without welding and can be easily reused.

Weld Neck

Probably the most popular style of flange overall, the weld neck flange matches the pipe bevel and thickness (schedule) to allow a smooth weld and no interruption to the flow of your media. Be sure to specify the wall thickness required, in addition to the material, flange face and pressure class.
